ComPass B 2.0

Directional short-circuit & earth-fault indicator for all network forms, offering high-precision monitoring with capacitive/resistive voltage coupling and RS485 Modbus RTU communication.

Overview

Shahig ComPass Series are smart short-circuit and earth fault indicators for medium-voltage distribution networks. The range supports monitoring and fault location with high-precision measurement data transmitted to the control center.

Core Functions

  • Short-circuit & earth-fault detection
  • Load current monitoring and network analysis
  • On-site fault display via high-contrast OLED
  • Remote reporting via industrial communication (model dependent)

Typical Applications

  • MV cable networks (RMU/switchgear)
  • Utilities seeking faster fault location and restoration
  • Networks requiring predictive maintenance through monitoring

What it’s best for

  • High-precision monitoring for network analysis
  • Short-circuit & earth-fault detection in all neutral point treatments with directional indication
  • High-contrast OLED for clear on-site readability

Technical Data

  • Trip range: I>> 10–2,000 A (self-adjustment); response delay 20 ms–60 s
  • Earth fault methods: IES> 10–1,000 A; IEP> 1–200 A; IEQ> 1–200 A; IET> 10–500 A; VNE> 1–100%; ΔIE> 1–200 A; response delay 40 ms–60 s
  • Voltage coupling: capacitive and resistive (for high-precision monitoring)
  • Communication: RS485 / Modbus RTU + USB service port
  • Relay contacts: 4
  • Power supply: long-life lithium cell; external auxiliary supply 24–230V AC/DC
